Warping Edge
1. First, adjust the platform lower knob to the lowest position. Then, select platform calibration in the printer settings.
2. Next, each time the printhead descends to the calibration point, adjust the corresponding platform corner knob until the platform just contacts the printhead.
3. Repeat this process to calibrate all four platform corners. Then, perform a second calibration. This time, do not lower the platform; simply fine-tune the distance between the printhead and platform to ensure a close fit (if it's just right, do not adjust). Then confirm and restart the machine. Success!
Nozzle Clog
1. Turn off the nozzle using the software, then remove the nozzle from the model being printed.
2. Remove the filament from the nozzle to prevent further clogging.
3. Clean away any remaining plastic from the nozzle.
4. Turn the nozzle back on and wait for the plastic inside to melt and automatically spray out.
5. Reinsert the plastic filament into the nozzle.
3D Printer at Rest
(1) Platform Cleaning
Find a lint-free cloth, add a little rubbing alcohol or acetone nail polish remover, and gently wipe to clean the platform.
(2) Nozzle Residue Cleaning
Preheat the nozzle to about 220°C, then use tweezers to slowly pull out any loose filaments, or remove the nozzle for thorough cleaning.
(3) Other Cleaning
Clean up any debris under the 3D printer casing, lubricate any parts that are dry, and wipe the motor, lead screw, and other components clean with a clean cloth. After completing the above cleaning steps, cover the machine and it can be stored for a long time. Developing good maintenance habits during daily use can extend the equipment's lifespan.
