There are many brands of intraoral scanners on the market, but their operating procedures are largely similar.

Today, we're sharing a diagram illustrating the scanning trajectory operation method. We hope this provides some operational knowledge for doctors already using intraoral scanners and offers a more intuitive understanding for those considering using them.

Before starting the scan, please note the following:

1. Check the scanner's connection status (the connection method varies between brands);

2. Remove the protective head and replace it with a sterilized scanning head (the protective head does not have a reflective lens);

3. Allow the scanning head to warm up, which generally takes 20 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the room temperature;

4. Warming up the scanning head reduces discomfort when it enters the patient's mouth and prevents the effects of exhaled breath on the scanning process and accuracy.
